MN Housing Statistics July 2011

July 8, 2011

It is important to first note that the week ending in June 18th, more buyers in the Twin Cities have entered into purchase agreements than any other week since the tax credit expired.  This is positive for the real estate market and shows us that the market may be improving a bit.

As of July, 2011 there are just over 69,000 homes for sale in the MN MLS including:

  • 37,000 single family homes
  • 2,151 condos
  • 4,904 townhouses
  • 395 duplexes
  • 988 multi family homes
  • 329 residential lease
  • 21,173 lots and acreage
  • 2,538 farm and hobby
  • 2,521 commercial properties

Of all of the houses for sale in the MLS surprisingly only approximately 5,818 of these properties are foreclosures.
